"Taste Of Tomorrow"

The opening instrumentals are really exciting and intense and really set the tone and

energy of the rest of the song. I really enjoy the playing and it really fits what I would

expect from a song like this. This is probably my favorite part of the song and I really

think it is what makes the song work. The lyrics worked well and it makes sense

throughout. The writer clearly took a lot of time and energy to develop a message,

tone, sound, and chorus for the song so that it works. The vocal performance was

solid. The tone and pacing of the song also works and it is really high energy and fast-faced so it gets the heart pumping and the blood rushing which is great. Lastly, the production value worked out for me and it sounds like a lot of energy went into mixing and refining to make sure it was audibly clear

and had no quality issues. Overall, the vocals, lyrics, pacing, tone were all great and

the instrumentals were fantastic.

I liked the instrumental part of this song. The guitar had a pretty good distortion. The

drumming had good strong energy.

I liked the really energetic music - it felt intense and catchy at the same time. I liked

the lyrics and thought the chorus was strong. The audio sounded kind of grainy and I

thought the music could be a little louder to better compliment the volume of the

The song has a decent start. It's not amazing, but it hooks me enough to keep

listening. The guitar riff is pretty good too. The vocals are pretty good too. I like it

enough to check out more from the artist.

I really liked the instrumentals to this song, they could really work in an Action movie

especially during a chase scene. The vocals matched the instrumentals well.

The chords on the track are decent with a sort of boomer sound that they use here. I

dig the melody of the track though. Good combination here.

me. Loved his vocals. Choruses were good.

I like the strings on the track I like how punchy the song is. I also feel like this song

reminds me of the strings on beach.

The melody seems to be influenced by the 80s grenre of music I think they would do

good in what their endeavors are and sell.

Revelation Rain

“Vengeance Is Mine (Saith the Lord)”

What Stands Out: Recorded and released barely a month after the band’s formation, “Vengeance Is Mine” marks the grinding, aggressive debut by Rockford Christian metal outfit Revelation Rain. It’s a record steeped in hard rock culture and a nod to everything that made metal great in its heyday: grandiosity, heaviness and straightforward riffage.

Digging Deeper: On “Vengeance,” band members clearly sport an appreciation for the classics, wearing their love for Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath on their sleeve. But there’s plenty of modern influence as well, with the occasional growl keeping the record firmly grounded in the 21st century. Tracks like “Night Falls Fast” are good examples of how the band maintains this mood. Revelation Rain’s two guitarists, Rob and JT, also strike a nice balance between the rhythm and lead parts. Neither one overplays, and both sound comfortable with their role in the music rather than competing for musical space.

Perfect For: Fans of hard rock and metal, both old and new. – Devin Dely

Strutter 'Zine

The Wyoming, Michigan based band REVELATION RAIN was formed in early 2020 and in less than a few months their debut Vengeance is mine was released, which was thanks to the speed of the internet for making the connections and finding the right musicians. Vengeance is mine was recorded in 4 days, so really quickly put together, but on the other hand so were the first couple of THE BEATLES records! Anyway, the rawness and authenticity is very clear on this album, because it shows the band as they would sound like live. The band's line up consists of ROB ROBINSON (guitar, vocals),JT LONG (guitar, vocals), GRANT BEECH (drums, vocals) and MARTI ROBERT (bass, vocals), and we have here 10 songs included. Be aware that it has a very independent rough sound and actually reminds me a lot of early/mid 90s indie records. The best songs on the albumare Taste of Tomorrow (catchy 80s uptempo melodic hard/heavy rock like a mix between LIZZY BORDEN and STRYPER), Tears on the Wall and the title track Vengeance is Mine. Recommended if you're into traditional classic 80s American Melodic Heavy Rock/Metal and you want some real authenticity instead of the big productions.
